The oldest of the three has to walk to school everyday barefooted, because she can’t afford to buy her shoes. It’s either shoes or no rent or food. Today we got to help this strong and beautiful lady with a month’s worth of food for her and her children and some clothing for the time being.

Just to give you an idea of how precarious the situation is.
When you drive by one of the many fastfood chains in your town and buy one chicken dinner because you feel a little bit hungry. That money you spent to buy that meal is what she needs here on a monthly basis. Just to pay her rent and feed her children’s.
